MISSION
The Music@Home Concert Series reaches out and invites the community in by presenting free musical concerts of the highest quality to uplift souls, inform minds, and inspire hearts.
PURPOSE
The Music@Home Concert Series is operated, managed and produced by a volunteer committee of Home Church members and staff. The Series presents musical concerts, with financial support from Home Moravian Church, in two worship spaces, the Saal and the Sanctuary. We invite the public to enjoy the concerts and experience the spaces free of charge. Home Church gives audiences the opportunity to support the Series of their own free will, but no ticket or donation is required.
The series welcomes to Home Church people who appreciate quality music, including those who might lack the means to purchase tickets for such performances.
The Concert Series identifies Home Church with the legacy of early Salem, Bethlehem and Wachovia, where high value was placed on music presented in worship, and concerts were ubiquitous throughout the settlements.
The Music@Home Concert Series welcomes all, providing opportunities for invitation, fellowship, enrichment, and church growth. The Series increases Home Church’s visibility and demonstrates its relevance in a new way. It builds outside interest and trust in Home Church for the future by teaching, leading and encouraging music as a part of spiritual life.
VISION
The Music@Home Concert Series will be musically superb and artistically fulfilling. It will draw visitors and members to experience music together in an environment of community and celebration.
Home Church members will be proud of the level of excellence, continuing a long tradition, presented in these spaces.
The Series will nurture the enrichment and artistic growth of listeners and will affirm the musical development and gifts of performers.
