Stewardship that Supports Our Members and Serves Our Neighbors
Home Church Members have a history of caring for one another in difficult times. When someone is ill or injured, we respond with get-well messages, nourishment, prayers, and even some emergency financial assistance.
One way we can respond is through the Branner Dixson Baldwin Medical Assistance Fund. This fund was established to support members in times of medical crisis. It provides financial assistance for medical, dental, or optical expenses not covered by insurance. Individuals and groups can make a gift to the fund to support our brothers and sisters. Home Church invites any members who need help to ask the pastors about assistance from this fund. Distributions from the fund are made anonymously.
Members of Home Church also reach outside our congregation to assist families who are enduring a medical emergency. Our church was a significant force behind the establishment of the SECU Family House. Our Benevolence Fund, Church Budget, Women’s Fellowship, Candle Tea, Men of the Church, and individual members helped make this caring refuge possible for families traveling to Winston-Salem hospitals for medical treatment. Our support is recognized by a beautiful guest room named for Home Moravian Church. The Family Assistance Fund and volunteer efforts at the House continue to benefit from our generous gifts of time, talent, and funding.
Since opening in fall 2011, the SECU Family House has served over 28,000 grateful guests from 95 NC counties, 39 other states plus Puerto Rico and Washington, DC, and from four foreign countries.
We thank God for the loving stewards who support these vital ministries.
